Public Affairs (Formerly Public Management & Policy) Internships

The Public Affairs (formerly titled Public Management & Policy) internship requirement can be met by interning at any of the organizations on this page. If you have found an internship NOT listed on our website, you must contact Laureana Jones, the Internship Coordinator, for internship approval. Please familiarize yourself with the internship process on SGPP's Internship Requirements webpage before applying for internships listed on this page. 

After securing an internship, please visit the Apply for Internship Credit page to learn how to enroll in PA 393. Public Affairs students are required to complete 3 internship units to fulfill graduation requirements.

Arizona Legislative Internship

The State of Arizona sponsors a Legislative Internship Program, which is administered by SGPP and coordinated by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Deans Office. Internships are awarded on a competitive basis. Students are eligible to apply if they have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have attained Senior standing or will do so by the Spring term. Students selected as Legislative Interns receive a modest stipend and work in Phoenix during the Spring semester as full-time staff members for the Legislature, the Governor's Office, and the Supreme Court.
