Dismas Charities Inc., Tucson AZ is a 146 bed residential reentry center that provides quality, cost-effective, community-based treatment services and programs to individuals and their families who are involved in the criminal justice system. Our goal is to assist individuals in becoming positive, productive members of their community. Internship Description: Unpaid
Interns will be exposed to a variety of positions and experiences involving resident supervision, monitoring, data entry/Clerical support/filing, case work, counseling, community organizing and volunteer work.
Purpose of the Internship
Provide the student the opportunity to observe and work within the criminal justice and community reentry. Interns will have direct access complete scope of community reentry and supervision of offender preparing to return to the community including the challenges faced by residents and law enforcement personal involved in their supervision and successful reentry.
Agency minimum qualifications
All applicants must be able to pass a criminal background investigation completed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and receive approval to work with federal offenders.
