Tribute to SGPP alum and supporter, George R. Cunningham

All of us here at SGPP are saddened to hear of the recent passing of George R. Cunningham. Our thoughts and best wishes are with his family and friends.

A double graduate of the University of Arizona -- with bachelor and master degrees in public administration -- Cunningham had an illustrious career in public service, serving as in the Arizona House of Representatives, as Chief of Staff in the Governor's office,  and as a Vice President here at the UA.

Cunningham epitomizes so much of what we hold dear within SGPP. We are pleased his considerable legacy to our School is maintained through the George R. Cunningham Scholarship, which benefits our excellent students, including those seeking to follow in his footsteps through a career in public service.
