Kofi Kusi Owusu-Ansah is a PhD student in the School of Government and Public Policy, specializing in Public Policy and Management. His research focuses on energy governance, energy transition, and climate governance, with an emphasis on industrializing economies. Kofi is particularly interested in how the shift from conventional to renewable energy sources affects social and economic equity, as well as the political and economic implications of this transition. His research interests lie in examining the roles of international institutions, agreements, and foreign investments in shaping the outcomes of renewable energy projects.

Before joining SGPP, Kofi earned a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Wyoming and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He has prior experience working on projects related to the circular economy and environmental policy. His academic work has been published in journals such as Sustainable Development, Environment, Development and Sustainability, and PLOS ONE.
