Indigenous Politics Workshop co-hosted by SGPP Professor Tessa Provins
'Future Generations in Indigenous Political Science Research Workshop'

Co-led by Elise Blasingame (Emory University), Sonja Castañeda Dower (University of Chicago), and Tessa Provins (University of Arizona), this inaugural workshop brought together faculty, researchers, and graduate students to discuss research and professional development for scholars studying Indigenous politics. Located at the University of Chicago, this workshop honored the historic American Indian Chicago Conference of 1961, which brought together several hundred members of Native Nations and helped reverse federal Indian Termination policy. This team of collaborators hope to institutionalize this workshop into an annual event, thanks to the support of the American Political Science Association and other sponsoring institutions.
