About the Club
The Criminal Justice Association is an ASUA recognized special interest club. We educate students on careers in the criminal justice field as well as familiarize them with what they will encounter once in the field. We were established in 2001 and are a student run organization. A typical meeting consists of going over club business and then hearing from a guest speaker(s) from a federal law enforcement agency. We also hear from local police, sheriffs, and crime lab specialists. Throughout the semester we have extra activities in the past have been a self-defense/krav maga class, a prison, jail, or crime lab tour, and a trip to a local shooting range.
How to Join
In order to join the club, a person must be a University of Arizona student and must pay the club dues. Active member dues are $20 for the year ($10 for each semester), for both Fall & Spring semesters. Active member dues support the opportunity to go to off-campus events such as the jail/prison tour, gun range, etc. New members are welcome to join anytime. If a member does not wish to pay dues, they will be considered an Honorary Member and will not be able to go to the off-campus activities but are more than welcome to attend the meetings.
