Habib Azizz Pierce-Byrd

Habib Azizz Pierce-Byrd is a dual degree alumnus from the School of Government and Public Policy and the James E. Roger's College of Law. During his time in the dual degree program, Habib clerked at the Pima County Public Defenders Office where he conducted research and assisted the attorneys with trial preparation.

Upon graduating from the University of Arizona. Habib clerked for the Honorable Stephen Villarreal and the Honorable Barbara Sattler while preparing to sit for the Arizona Bar Exam. Upon passing the Bar Exam, Habib worked at the Arizona Attorney General's Office in the Protective Services Section representing Child Protective Services in child dependency, guardianship and termination of parental rights matters.

After leaving the Attorney General's Office, Habib went to work as a staff attorney at Four Rivers Indian Legal Services. Four Rivers Indian Legal Services is a division of Southern Arizona Legal Aid. Inc., located in Sacaton, Arizona on the Gila River Indian Reservation. Habib represents enrolled members and residents of the Gila River Indian Community. Habib's practice consists primarily of family law, estate planning and mental health matters. Habib also represents members and residents of the Gila River Indian Community in administrate hearings and before the Gila River Indian Community Court of Appeals. Habib also represents clients who have cases pending in the Arizona State Courts. Habib values fighting for low income families and the disenfranchised that are unable to help themselves.

Habib is married to Miral Alena (Sigurani) Pierce-Byrd whom he met on his first day of law school. Habib and Miral have two children (twins one boy and one girl) named Ari and Alena. Habib enjoys taking road trips with his family. A few of Habib's favorite road trips were to Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend. Antelope Canyon and Arches National Park.

Habib is also an avid supporter of the University of Arizona and its athletic programs. Habib is an active member of the Alumni Association and is a board member of the East Valley Cats which promotes the University of Arizona in the East Valley.
