Civic Influencers is a nonpartisan, nonprofit that activates young people’s civic power through organizing, learning, and advocacy. We use real-time data to draw attention to democracy power outages on campuses and in communities, and train young people to fight for youth voting rights and the policies they care about. We design youth-centered, data-driven civic action projects that remove barriers to voting and push decision makers to give young people a seat at the table.

Internship Description (Paid)
Civic Influencers will be mentored as they are equipped with the resources to increase youth civic voting power on their campuses and communities. They are asked to think about what best serves their area, and complete community engagement activities and a systemic change project. The position is fully remote and self-paced. What the individual Civic Influencer decides to work on determines how many hours are needed. It is a contract position, paid by meeting certain deliverables.
- Complete a minimum of three (3) community engagement activities on campus and in the surrounding community throughout each term.
- Develop one (1) systemic change project that leads to long term change each term, though could be spread over several terms.
- Complete the Civic Influencers Bronze-level Data Training.
- Create a video about your experience with Civic Influences.
- Submit an end-of-term report summarizing your accomplishments and suggestions for the future.
Purpose of the Internship
The purpose is to train young people to fight for youth voting rights and the policies they care about. The internship provides a meaningful experience by giving young people the resources, mentorship, and opportunity to create a project from the ground-up in anything they are passionate about relating to youth civic voting and power. The intern will learn project management, organizing skills, social media skills, gain a network of like-minded young people civically engaged, and more.

Have to be ages 18-29
