Dr. Trese (Theresa) Ricke-Kiely has research and practice interests in nonprofit leadership and management, nonprofit mergers, and mindfulness. Her teaching focus includes leadership, nonprofit management, and public organizational theory and behavior. She has published articles in various journals, including the International Journal of Public Leadership, Research in Ethical Issues in Organizations, The International Journal of Servant-Leadership, International Leadership Journal, and the Journal of Nonprofit Leadership and Education. She is the inaugural book review editor for the Journal of Nonprofit Education and Leadership and is a peer reviewer for various nonprofit and leadership journals. She is co-editor for a special issue in the Journal of Ideology focused on nonprofit leadership and management approaches. She is also a leadership coach and nonprofit consultant specializing in executive, board, and mindful leadership. She published "The Path to Mindful Leadership: Practices for Nonprofit Success" by Kendall Hunt in the summer of 2024 and is starting her second book, aimed at emerging nonprofit leaders. Before joining SGPP, she held administrative and teaching positions at the University of St Thomas, The University of Notre Dame, and the University of South Carolina. Dr. Ricke-Kiely has an EdD in organizational leadership from the University of Sarasota, an MPA from Marist College, and a BA from SUNY New Paltz.
