Alexander Cloudt

Ph.D. Candidate

About my studies:
Of the five concentrations that the program offers, I am in the American Politics concentration.  Reflecting my interest in ethics and politics as well as my background in psychology (BA and MA), I also study moral psychology and political psychology.  More specifically, I study ideology and partisanship.

About me:
I grew up in a blue-collar household in the suburbs of Long Island but, for the decade prior to moving to Arizona, NYC was my home.  While in NYC, I worked as a public safety officer at the Javits Convention Center (2011 - 2015), and most recently as a teacher at the daycare center of Rockefeller Center (2016 - 2019).  At UArizona, I have served as instructor of record for two classes: “American National Government” and “Foundations of Political Psychology.”  In my free-time, I enjoy cooking, movies, playing my guitar, exercising, and hiking (but more often lounging) with my recently adopted shelter mongrel.
