Hope Rising Arizona (HRAz) is a 501c3 Nonprofit focusing on creating a daily environment of safety and trust where victims of human trafficking can experience long term restorative care
services. This program is designed to serve an increasing number and broadening diversity of survivor populations in Arizona, the Southwest region and beyond.

Internship Description
This internship is divided into four phases that are critical for nonprofit success (program management;
fundraising; Executive Director budget and fiscal management; and Board of Director oversight and guidance
1. Assist Program Manager with operational requirements and considerations associated with the HRAz
mission to include identification of victim/candidates, selection process, placement, and development of
individual victim/candidate timelines.
2. Assist Development Specialist with assignments and actions associated with fundraising activities and
processes.
3. Assist Executive Director and Board Treasurer with financial tasks including expenditure tracking,
budget development and oversight, and assisting the Director and Board Treasurer with fiscal year
budget projections.
4. Assist the Board President with agenda and items relating to Board of Director oversight. This includes
agenda development for monthly meetings, attending Board Meetings and assisting the Board of
Directors as needed. (ongoing throughout the internship).
Purpose of the Internship
Provide students with the experience and skills to understand the significance of the HRAz Program
- Introduce students to skills associated with daily operational management by working directly with the Board of Directors, Executive Director and Management Team.
- Introducing students to the daily, monthly, and quarterly fiscal management requirements and tools used to effectively manage day to day financial oversight
- Work directly with Board Members to understand the requirements and steps required for effective Board management of a nonprofit organization.

Agency Minimum Qualifications
Prefer a Social Services or Criminal Justice Major with Junior status. Must be 21 or older.
Agency Preferred Qualifications: Interest in working with a nonprofit agency focusing on victims of crimes associated with human trafficking
