Frequently Asked Questions
Our online students are eligible for some SGPP scholarships through Scholarship Universe. However, most funding opportunities noted on the SGPP website are limited to main campus SGPP majors in their junior or senior year only.
The online programs do not currently offer concentrations. You may wish to consider in-person degrees that offer a sharper focus on specific topics.
To be eligible for an Accelerated Master's Program (AMP), both the Bachelor's degree and the Master's degree must be offered through the same campus (i.e. Arizona Online). Currently, SGPP's only online Master's degree is International Security Studies (ISS), which accepts AMP students from all four of our undergraduate online degrees. Learn more about the ISS AMP.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION | |
The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Administration of Justice takes an interdisciplinary approach to criminal justice, issues in modern law enforcement, terrorism, immigration, and border security. The program emphasizes research, analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. This program is designed for students who have previous experience at a higher-education institution and/or working within the field of law enforcement/public safety. |
The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice Studies provides the foundation to understand how to keep societies safe while advancing justice and equality. The program begins with traditional public administration courses that impart skills in leadership, ethics, and public management. You will explore the core criminal justice institutions – police, courts, and corrections – and examine how these institutions interact with public policy and society. Throughout the program, courses examine inequalities and how to address them across the criminal justice system. Graduates of this program are well-positioned for careers within law enforcement, courts, corrections, and the larger public and nonprofit sectors. Completing this degree will prepare you to think critically in an increasingly complex and politicized society. |
