Accelerated Master of Public Administration
Earn both your Bachelor's degree and Master of Public Administration in five years!
The Accelerated Master of Public Administration will enable academically talented University of Arizona SGPP undergraduates to complete their Bachelor's degree (in Criminal Justice Studies, Law, Political Science, or Public Management & Policy) and the Master of Public Administration (MPA) in as little as five years of study beginning with their freshman year as an undergraduate. This program is intended for students interested in enhancing their qualifications for future employment and/or admission to other graduate programs (such as Ph.D. programs or J.D. programs at law schools), and for students interested in an accelerated masters program.
- You will need to have a minimum 3.4 GPA after completion of 90 undergraduate units.
- You can apply for the program your junior year.
- If accepted, you'll take 12 graduate credits your senior year.
- You will complete the remaining 30 MPA units during your fifth year.
Accelerated Master of Public Policy
Earn both your Bachelor's degree and Master of Public Policy in five years!
The Accelerated Master of Public Policy will enable academically talented University of Arizona SGPP undergraduates to complete their Bachelor's degree (in Criminal Justice Studies, Law, Political Science, or Public Management & Policy) and the Master of Public Policy (MPP) in as little as five years of study beginning with their freshman year as an undergraduate. Accelerated Master of International Security Studies
Earn your Master's in International Security Studies in just one year!
The Accelerated Master of International Security Studies will enable academically talented University of Arizona undergraduates to complete their Bachelor's degree (in Political Science, Law, Criminal Justice Studies, or Public Management & Policy) and Master’s in International Security Studies (ISS) in as little as five years of study beginning with their freshman year as an undergraduate. This program is intended for students interested in an accelerated master's program, students interested in enhancing their qualifications for admission to other graduate programs (such as Ph.D. programs or J.D. programs at law schools), and students interested in careers in the international security realm. This program is available for students in the fully online campus only.
- You must be enrolled as an Arizona Online student.
- You will need to have a minimum 3.3 GPA after completion of 90 undergraduate units.
- You can apply for the program your junior year.
- If accepted, you'll take 12 graduate credits your senior year.
- You will complete the remaining 22 ISS units during your fifth year.
Accelerated Master of Legal Studies (B.A. Law Students)
Earn your Master of Legal Studies in just one additional semester!
Qualified B.A. Law majors also have the opportunity to pursue an accelerated track to a Master of Legal Studies (MLS) through the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. The MLS is a one-year master’s degree for non-lawyers. After taking 12 units of foundational law courses at the graduate level (which count towards both the B.A. in Law and the MLS).
- You will need to have a minimum 3.3 GPA after completion of 90 undergraduate units.
- You can apply for the program your junior year.
- If accepted, you'll take 12 graduate credits your senior year.
- You will complete the remaining 18 units in your fifth year.
3+3 Program – B.A. in Law & Juris Doctor
The 3+3 Bachelor of Arts/Juris Doctor program enables qualified University of Arizona undergraduates to complete their B.A. in Law and J.D. in as few as six years of study. If accepted, 3+3 students begin law school following their junior year and earn 27 upper division law credits that will count towards both their Law B.A. and J.D. degrees. Students admitted to law school through the 3+3 program spend their fifth and sixth years completing the remaining units required for the J.D. at the College of Law.
