About Saura Masconale
Saura Masconale is an Assistant Professor of the School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Arizona. Her research interests focus on law and economics, corporate governance, comparative law, and social contracting. Her most recent research project, published in the Emory Law Review, explores the role of urban spatial environments in shaping the strength of a country’s rule of law. She is currently interested in investigating the role of legal institutions in the tradeoff between inequality and efficiency and the dynamics of deliberative processes, including judicial decision-making. Before entering academia, she practiced banking and finance law at the global law firm Clifford Chance. Her teaching line-up for the academic year 2014-2015 includes Growth, Inequality and the Law and Business in Modern Society.
