Undergraduate Programs

The undergraduate mission of the School of Government and Public Policy is to foster critical, independent thinking about politics and public policy.  Students who graduate from this school will become more conscious of the many complex ways in which political forces--both domestic and global--shape their lives. They will understand the political processes that form public policies and impact citizens as well as the political culture that allows citizens to change the ways in which those processes function. Through their written work, lectures, reading and internships, students will graduate with a better understanding of the American political system as well as the political systems and institutions around the world.
