Students in our program are expected to develop strong analytic and methodological skills. We provide students with a variety of tools necessary to critically address political and social research questions. In particular, our students take courses on research design, experimental analysis, mixed methods, network analysis, as well as basic and advanced linear regression techniques. Students are encouraged to incorporate their training into their own research through collaborative projects with faculty and other students. Students also have access to numerous resources critical to applied research, such as a state-of-the-art experimental lab, a large subject pool, tools to collect large public opinion surveys, access to computational resources and statistical software, and access to social and political datasets through our institutional subscription to data archives.
